In Mozilla Thunderbird's Address Book, there doesn't seem to be a way to import a vcard (vcf) file. This vcard file contains information about the contact, and an import will pre-populate the fields for you.
Well I was searching on the net a while back, and I came across a site that showed a work around. I don't remember the link so that's why I'm posting here.
1. Save the vcard (vcf) to your computer (ie: Desktop)
2. Start / Open Mozilla Thunderbird
3. Compose a new message
4. Attach the vcard file
5. Double click the email attachment (a New Card should open for the contact)
6. Discard the message
7. Delete the vcard off of your computer, if necessary
Note: I have come across one vcard in which this method didn't work, I double-clicked the attachment as described above, but it just didn't do anything. But it was worked on a number of occasions. _________________ Let's all play nice!!
